Feds Subpoena Black Mafia Founder to Testify at Jam Master Jay Trial
Will Terry Flenory Take the Fifth?
Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so.
Last October, I revealed the Black Mafia Family’s Terry Flenory was the supplier in the drug deal that led to the death of Run-DMC’s deejay Jam Master Jay in 2002. The Black Mafia Family, of course, was the subject of the recent TV show, BMF, produced by 50 Cent.
Recently, Scott Burnstein, America’s foremost expert on the Black Mafia Family, was interviewing me for his podcast, The Original Gangsters. He told me the feds had subpoenaed Flenory, and his brother Demetrius, to testify at the upcoming murder trial of Karl “Little D” Jordan and Ronald “Tinard Washington. The feds accuse them of murdering Jay because Jay cut them out of the cocaine deal involving Flenory.
To be clear, the feds don’t believe Flenory had anything to do with Jay’s murder.
Flenory was granted early release because of health issues and is now working a 9-5 job in Detroit.
“He’s royalty,” Scott told me. “When he came home, there was a line around the block of people coming into his mother’s house to pay their respects and take selfies with him. Hip-hop luminaries from around the country flew in: LL Cool J, Nelly, Fabolous, Puffy. 50 Cent gave him a Bentley as a welcome-home present.”
Will Flenory reveal on the stand further details of what went down that fateful night in a Washington D.C. hotel room in 2002 when Flenory fronted Jay ten keys of cocaine worth £180,000? Or will he take the fifth? While Flenory was in prison, federal investigators visited him and asked for his cooperation in the Jam Master Jay case. He told them to fuck off.
